Principal Dentist
Dr. Ned Restom graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney in 2000, continuing his study and undertaking a Bachelor of Dentistry through the University of Sydney where he graduated in 2004.
In June 2010, Ned founded Avoca Beach Dental with a mission of delivering high-quality, comprehensive dental services to the residents of the Central Coast. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a particular passion for cosmetic dental care and implant dentistry.
In 2005, Ned completed accreditation through the Australian Society of Implant dentistry, and in 2017 he completed the Master Series in Implant dentistry at the Brenner Institute.
He has also completed the master series in Implantology at the California Implant Institute and the surgical externship component including the live All on 4 surgical program.
In 2022, Ned became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology after completing a rigorous examination process. He is the third Australian to be awarded the title, and one of 640 global diplomates. He currently practices at various locations of Smile On clinics, and operates in a group of private hospitals to provide complex treatments for his patients under general anaesthetics.
Dr. Ned is one of the founding members of the Australasian Implant Academy, which aims to provide education to Australian dentists in Implantology, by bringing top lecturers from the United States to Australia.
This ongoing commitment to training and development has allowed him to provide his patients with the latest implant technology and increase his clinical skills to address complex cases in oral implantology.
Dr. Restom is a firm believer in continuing his education, allowing him to remain at the forefront of the dental industry. He enjoys the pursuit of new evidence- based treatments in an effort to deliver the most innovative dental solutions to his patients. He takes pride in his clinic’s honest and gentle approach to family dental services and remains dedicated to providing his valued patients with the highest standard of dental care and services.
Ned is also an aerobatic pilot, and a huge aviation fan, and is furthering his education in Aviation.
Dr. Ned Restom has recently teamed up with a few mates, and the Cancer Council, to form Customs 4 Cancer which aims to raise funds for the Cancer Council and raise awareness in the community against cancer.
